Message Jelly to clean them up, works well but might have to do 2 or 3 times. I used a round bristle type paint brush -- just apply the naval jelly using the brush to work it in. You'll see it working as its applied -- jelly darkens as the dust is removed.

Wait maybe 5 mins and then rinse with water. Repeat as needed - have done it this way just to clean them up and have done it to prep for painting.

Just be aware that its a weak Phosphoric Acid in jelly form. If you forget and leave it on for a while or do in direct sunlight when wheels are hot it will etch the clear coat pretty fast.
